{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-6.791","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 6.791","heading":"Public record status of statements of financial disclosure -- Retention","body":"requirements for commission.\n(1) Upon receipt by the commission, a statement of financial interests shall be a public\nrecord available for copying. A statement may be reviewed and c opied at the office\nof the commission during ordinary business hours.\n(2) A statement of financial interests shall be retained by the commission for five (5)\nyears after filing in a form, including microfilming, that shall facilitate document\nretention, except that:\n(a) Upon the expiration of three (3) years after an individual ceases to be a\nmember of the General Assembly, or an individual employed in a position\nlisted in KRS 6.781(3) ceases to be employed in that position, the commission\nshall destroy any statements of financial interests or copies of those statements\nfiled by the individual and which are in the possession of the commission,\nunless the individual is otherwise required to file a statement; and\n(b) Upon the expiration of three (3) years afte r any election at which a candidate\nfor the General Assembly was not elected or nominated, the commission shall\ndestroy any statements of financial interests or copies of those statements filed\nby him as a candidate, unless the individual is otherwise requ ired to file a\nstatement.","path":["KRS Chapter 6"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=390","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:25Z","sha256":"bb54c1644df997e9964cad42cf417f620abcef99ea5a3a64a4980fc6869c9d34","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-6.790","next":"us-ky/krs-6.793"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
