{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-605.060","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 605.060","heading":"Duties of probation officers.","body":"Probation officers appointed pursuant to KRS 605.050 shall:\n(1) Except as otherwise provided in KRS Chapter 645, make investigations as provided\nin this chapter, including the administration of a validated risk and needs\nassessment;\n(2) Be present in court to represent the interest of the child when the cases investigated\nby them are heard, furnish such information as may be required, including the\nresults of a validated risk and needs assessment, advise the court as to the proper\ndisposition of the case an d take such charge of the child before and after the\nhearings as may be ordered;\n(3) Visit and supervise children placed on probation and as far as practicable, aid and\nencourage such children, by friendly advice and admonition, to keep terms of their\nprobation, and provide for their rehabilitation;\n(4) Make such reports and records as may be required by the court;\n(5) Supervise the transfer of children to and from homes or facilities as directed by the\ncourt; and\n(6) Work in cooperation with the representatives of the cabinet.","path":["KRS Chapter 605"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43503","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:06Z","sha256":"8193e7c49758f6131039d5e1be67f2c3ff41219bcbebc1c29a40c5813a1f5723","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-605.050","next":"us-ky/krs-605.070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
