{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-61.097","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 61.097","heading":"Involvement of local government officers, employees, and their spouses in","body":"contracts for solid waste management facilities -- Effect on contract --\nPenalties.\n(1) No elected or nonelected local government officer or employee or a spouse of such\nan offic er or employee shall, directly or indirectly, receive any benefits or\nemoluments from, furnish any material or other thing of value to be used in, or be\ninterested in, any contract let by waste management districts, counties, cities, or any\ncombination thereof, for a solid waste management facility.\n(2) Any contract made and procured in violation of subsection (1) of this section is\nvoid. Any elected or nonelected local government officer or employee who violates\nany provisions of subsection (1) of this sec tion shall be guilty of a Class B\nmisdemeanor, and shall be adjudged to have forfeited any public office or\nemployment which he may hold.
