{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-61.387","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 61.387","heading":"Equipment of conspicuously marked law enforcement vehicles used for","body":"transportation of prisoners.\n(1) All conspicuously marked motor vehicles used by the Department of Kentucky\nState Police, sheriffs' departments, county police, urban -county police, and  city\npolice for transporting prisoners, which are conspicuously marked as law\nenforcement vehicles, shall be equipped with a screen or other protective device\nbetween the area where prisoners are transported and the driver of the vehicle, and\nthe area in which the prisoner is enclosed shall be equipped so that the doors and\nwindows cannot be opened from the inside of the vehicle.\n(2) Subsection (1) of this section shall not apply to vehicles used for investigative\npurposes nor to special purpose vehicles n ot normally used for the transportation of\nprisoners.","path":["KRS Chapter 61"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=22934","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:14Z","sha256":"8e60f7f081bc2942f4b66cdd5ffbe8fb3a9cc57c4929bae16614c4f01478c12b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-61.385","next":"us-ky/krs-61.390"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
