{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-61.660","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 61.660","heading":"Custodian of funds -- Cash and securities.","body":"(1) The  State Treasurer shall be the custodian of the funds received under\nauthority of KRS  61.510 to 61.705, 16.510 to 16.652 and 78.510 to 78.852 and\nshall be responsible for the safekeeping of all cash and securities in his\ncustody. All payments from the fund shall be made by him on warrants issued\nby the Finance and Administration Cabinet. Payments may be in the form of\nchecks, which shall clearly show on the envelope or other mailing device the\nname  and address of the Kentucky Retirement Systems, County Employees\nRetirement System, or direct deposit bank transfers.\n(2) The  Kentucky Public Pensions Authority shall appoint a  custodian or\ncustodians of the cash and securities acquired under authority of KRS  61.510\nto 61.705, 16.510 to 16.652, and 78.510 to 78.852; and the custodian or\ncustodians shall be responsible for the safekeeping of all cash and securities in\nits custody.","path":["KRS Chapter 61"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=50840","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:15Z","sha256":"5516e3b37f5f947d744d0d8bd62365d77558753351c848f488f8085e06801c1e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-61.655","next":"us-ky/krs-61.661"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
