{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-61.793","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 61.793","heading":"Prohibition against disclosure of personal information.","body":"(1) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, and subject to the exemptions described in\nKRS 61.795, a public agency shall not:\n(a) Require any individual or nonprofit organization to provide the public agency\nwith personal information or otherwise compel the r elease of personal\ninformation;\n(b) Release, publicize, or otherwise publicly disclose personal information in its\npossession; or\n(c) Request or require a current or prospective contractor or grantee with the\npublic agency to provide a list of nonprofit or ganizations to which the current\nor prospective contractor or grantee has provided financial or nonfinancial\nsupport.\n(2) Personal information shall be exempt from disclosure under the Kentucky Open\nRecords Act, KRS 61.870 to 61.884.","path":["KRS Chapter 61"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54009","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:16Z","sha256":"dae8e0b147993f20ffc949b8becc1a34a68641df788c0e921b5222f16f86691a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-61.791","next":"us-ky/krs-61.795"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
