{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-610.105","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 610.105","heading":"Informal adjustment permissible at any time with notice to parties.","body":"(1) Upon the court's motion or the motion of any party, following notice to the county\nattorney, an informal adjustment may be made at any time during the proceedings\nand with the victim and with those persons specified in KRS 610.070 having prior\nnotification of the motion.\n(2) An informal adjustment does not require adjudication of the case. If an adjudication\nhas occurred, the court shall dismiss the case following successful completion under\nsubsection (3) of this section.\n(3) If the court orders an inform al adjustment, the order may include any of the\nfollowing:\n(a) Referral of the case to diversion, but, if the child does not successfully\ncomplete the terms of the diversion, the case shall not be dismissed as a result\nof the diversion but shall be returned to court; or\n(b) Placement of the child on community supervision or monitoring by the court\nunder the informal adjustment with additional conditions as determined\nappropriate by the court for a period not to exceed six (6) months.","path":["KRS Chapter 610"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43964","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:07Z","sha256":"62d5a73c1b6d6151bb43e79361e3da6f85fcf654122d5a11f902553998871c61","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-610.100","next":"us-ky/krs-610.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
