{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-620.320","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 620.320","heading":"Duties of State Citizen Foster Care Review Board.","body":"The duties of the State Citizen Foster Care Review Board shall be to:\n(1) Establish, approve, and provide training programs for local citizen foster care\nreview board members;\n(2) Review and coordinate the activities of local citizen foster care review boards;\n(3) Establish reporting procedures to be followed by the local citizen foster care review\nboards and publish an annual written report compiling data reported by local foster\ncare review boards which shall include statistics relating, at a minimum, to the\nfollowing:\n(a) Barriers to permanency identified in reviews;\n(b) The number of children moved more than three (3) times within a six (6)\nmonth period;\n(c) The average length of time in care;\n(d) Local solutions reported to meet identified barriers; and\n(e) The total number and frequency of reviews;\n(4) Publish an annual written report on the effectiveness of such local citizen foster\ncare review boards; and\n(5) Evaluate and make annual recommendations to the Supreme Court, the Legislative\nResearch Commission, and the Governor regarding:\n(a) Laws of the Commonwealth;\n(b) Practices, policies, and procedures within the Commonwealth affecting\npermanence for children in out -of-home placement and the investigation of\nallegations of abuse and neglect;\n(c) The findings of the local citizen foster care review board community forums\nconducted pursuant to KRS 620.270; and\n(d) The effectiveness or lack thereof and reasons the refor of local citizen foster\ncare review of children in the custody of the cabinet in bringing about\npermanence for the Commonwealth's children.","path":["KRS Chapter 620"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53321","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:08Z","sha256":"e7983f0a5d2200372c1cbfb5d6e027312218a35730142cde25358c98010b4033","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-620.310","next":"us-ky/krs-620.330"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
