{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-620.515","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 620.515","heading":"Minimum requirements for CASA volunteer -- Training -- Oath.","body":"(1) A CASA volunteer shall meet the following minimum requirements:\n(a) Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age;\n(b) Be of good moral character;\n(c) Complete a written application providing the names of at least three (3)\nreferences;\n(d) Submit to a personal interview with program staff;\n(e) Submit to a criminal record check; and\n(f) Submit to a check of the child abuse and adult protection registry maintained\nby the cabinet.\n(2) If found acceptable, then the applicant shall receive a minimum of thirty (30) ho urs\nof initial training and take an oath of confidentiality administered by a family court\njudge or, if none, then a District Judge.\n(3) Training, both initial and in-service, of volunteers shall be provided by the program\ndirector or staff following standards adopted pursuant to KRS 620.535.","path":["KRS Chapter 620"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=20230","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:08Z","sha256":"d69c3ca4a8ecd30a8e416875e49a3a493b5aa1286a6b45f503dcdcbfd8c6258a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-620.512","next":"us-ky/krs-620.520"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
