{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-635.083","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 635.083","heading":"Court's continuing jurisdiction over juvenile repeat offenders.","body":"(1) A juvenile convicted of or adjudged delinquent of three (3) or more offenses, other\nthan violations or status offenses, by the juvenile session of District Court, shall be\nretained under the jurisdiction and supervision of the court with regard to the\ncommission of that offense until the child reaches the age of eighteen (18), except\nthat if the child is convicted of or adjudged delinquent of a third or subsequent\nmisdemeanor offense after the child reaches the age of seventeen (17) years and six\n(6) months, the court's jurisdiction and supervision shall continue for a period not to\nexceed one (1) year. This jurisdiction shall continue even after the service of\nincarceration or other court -ordered punishment in the form of conditional\ndischarge. Violation of  the terms and conditions of conditional discharge shall be\npunished as contempt of court.\n(2) The provisions of this section shall not apply to adjudications of delinquency for\nmore than one (1) misdemeanor arising from the same incident.","path":["KRS Chapter 635"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=20291","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:09Z","sha256":"acaa4bd65ecee31cece659c1501b7a8cd2daee9c2b37c7a114af4c22b96ef0bc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-635.080","next":"us-ky/krs-635.085"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
