{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-64.019","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 64.019","heading":"Procedures for obtaining copies of records under control of county clerk --","body":"Per-page fee.\nNotwithstanding any other provision of the Kentucky Revised Statutes:\n(1) A county clerk may establish procedures for obtaining copies of records under his or\nher control, including restricting the use of devices including but not limited to\nscanners, cameras, computers, personal copiers, or other devices that may be used\nby an individual seeking a copy of a document maintained by the clerk, but a clerk\nshall not r estrict the ability of any person to make handwritten notes regarding\ndocuments and records maintained by the clerk.\n(2) (a) Unless the provisions of paragraph (b) of this subsection apply, the county\nclerk shall collect a per-page fee, not to exceed fifty cents ($0.50) per page, for\nproviding legal size or smaller paper copies of records or documents\nmaintained by the clerk.\n(b) If a higher fee for copying a document or record is specifically established by\nstatute, the provisions of that statute shall pre vail over the provisions of this\nsubsection.","path":["KRS Chapter 64"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40089","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:18Z","sha256":"8f89b75a0fe012f6089ece33b7698405ae95cd74ed297801baed3bf5efb94222","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-64.018","next":"us-ky/krs-64.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
