{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-64.152","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 64.152","heading":"County clerk's settlement with fiscal court for excess fees in counties of less","body":"than 75,000.\n(1) In counties containing a population of less than seventy -five thousand (75,000), the\ncounty clerk shall provide to the fiscal court by March 15 of each yea r a complete\nstatement for the preceding calendar year of all funds received by his office in an\nofficial capacity or for official services, and of all expenditures of his office,\nincluding his salary, compensation of deputies and assistants, and reasonabl e\nexpenses.\n(2) At the time of filing the statement required by subsection (1) of this section, the\nclerk shall pay to the fiscal court any income of his office, including income from\ninvestments, which exceeds the sum of his maximum salary as permitted by  the\nConstitution and other reasonable expenses, including compensation of deputies\nand assistants. The settlement for excess fees shall be subject to correction by audit\nconducted pursuant to KRS 43.070 or 64.810, and the provisions of this section\nshall not be construed to amend KRS 64.820.\n(3) When the county clerk vacates his office, the provisions of KRS 64.830 shall be\napplicable.","path":["KRS Chapter 64"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23204","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:18Z","sha256":"ad90239c1bd16c225c15e445b938368de83d1808d1f9ed4cd0f6fc589e159e5b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-64.150","next":"us-ky/krs-64.160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
