{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-64.355","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 64.355","heading":"Fees in counties of 70,000 or more are property of respective county --","body":"Applicability of KRS 64.368 if population decreases below 70,000.\n(1) It is hereby declared to be the intent of the General Assembly that all fees of the\noffice of county clerk and s heriff in counties having a population of seventy\nthousand (70,000) or more that are paid into the State Treasury pursuant to the\nprovisions of Section 106 of the Constitution of Kentucky are the property of the\nrespective county, and these fees along with those collected by the circuit clerk shall\nbe computed as part of the county's total tax effort for the purpose of determining\ncredit for any federally funded program.\n(2) If a county's population that equaled or exceeded seventy thousand (70,000) is less\nthan seventy thousand (70,000) after the most recent federal decennial census, then\nthe provisions of KRS 64.368 shall apply.","path":["KRS Chapter 64"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23237","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:18Z","sha256":"20effb77a8393c6f47d0682e731b0a9add8cfbe12fda04ef4ee57296e3e67a92","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-64.350","next":"us-ky/krs-64.360"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
