{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-64.5277","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 64.5277","heading":"Definitions for KRS 64.5277 to 64.5279.","body":"As used in KRS 64.5277 to 64.5279:\n(1) \"City\" means:\n(a) Any city of any class;\n(b) An urban-county government that does not participate in the county officers\ntraining program under KRS 64.5275; and\n(c) A consolidated local government that does not participate in the county\nofficers training program under KRS 64.5275;\n(2) \"City officer\" means:\n(a) Any individual elected to a city office existing under KRS Chapter 83A;\n(b) Any individual elected to a city office existing under KRS Chapter 67A or\n67C, if the respective government does not participate in the county  officers\ntraining program under KRS 64.5275;\n(c) Any individual appointed to fill a vacancy in an elected city office as defined\nunder paragraph (a) or (b) of this subsection; and\n(d) Any individual serving in a nonelected city office as defined by KRS 83A.080\nthat is designated by the city as eligible for participation in the city officers\ntraining program in the ordinance adopted pursuant to KRS 64.5278;\n(3) \"Excess credit hours\" means credit hours earned beyond fifteen (15) during a\ncalendar year;\n(4) \"Training incentive multiplier\" means a number of one (1) to four (4) that is used to\ncalculate the final training incentive to be paid to a city officer eligible to participate\nin the training incentive program; and\n(5) \"Training unit\" means fifteen (15) clock hours of attendance or participation in\nqualifying courses during a calendar year.","path":["KRS Chapter 64"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57557","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:19Z","sha256":"75d50efd247acfe3e87b1fe81cdd7083671034ede3ff7cfeb72a2861553e3823","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-64.5275","next":"us-ky/krs-64.5278"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
