{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-64.5279","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 64.5279","heading":"Repeal of training incentive program for city officers -- Designation of","body":"incentive payments relative to retirement and compensation -- Alternate\nincentives for continuing education and training.\n(1) A city may, by ordinance, elect to repeal the training incentive program.\n(2) The training incentive payments provided under KRS 64.5278 shall not be included\nin the calculation for a retirement allowance for any city officer participating in the\nCounty Employees Retirement System set out in KRS 78.510 to 78.852.\n(3) Training incentive payments provided under KRS 64.5278 shall not be considered\ncompensation and shall not be required to be included in the ordinance establishing\nthe compensation of elected city officers under KRS 67C.129, 67C.131, 83A.070,\nor when applicable, KRS 64.610.\n(4) Training incentive payments provided under KRS 64.5278 shall not be a factor in\nsetting elected city officers' maximum compensation under KRS 83A.075(2).\n(5) Nothing in KRS 64.5277 to 64.5279 shall be construed to prohibit a city from\nenacting or establishing alternative incentives for the continuing education and\ntraining of its elected officers or employees.","path":["KRS Chapter 64"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=39697","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:19Z","sha256":"7e3bf5e7f96bf29bf0fcdf3b59df565ff09b0082b5986a63725f1a4a90e14751","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-64.5278","next":"us-ky/krs-64.528"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
