{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-64.590","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 64.590","heading":"Compensation of officers and employees of political subdivisions or local","body":"governmental units or districts other than counties or cities, including school\ndistricts.\nIn the case of any political subdivision or local governmental unit or district other t han a\ncounty or city, having a governing body or authority composed of more than one (1)\nmember, such governing body or authority shall fix the compensation of every officer and\nemployee of the political subdivision, local governmental unit, or district wh ose\ncompensation is payable from the funds of the political subdivision, governmental unit, or\ndistrict, except that in the case of officers elected by popular vote the same limitations\nand restrictions shall apply as are applicable under KRS 83A.070 to th e fixing of\ncompensation of city officers elected by popular vote. Nothing in this section is intended\nto confer any power on any governing board or authority, with respect to the\ncompensation of its own members, that it does not specifically possess under  other\nstatutes.
