{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-645.250","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 645.250","heading":"Authority to promulgate administrative regulations.","body":"(1) The cabinet may promulgate administrative regulations to implement the provisions\nof this chapter.\n(2) The Department of Juvenile Justice may promulgate administrative regulations to\nimplement the provisions of this chapter.\n(3) The cabinet shall promulgate administrative regulations to insure that necessary and\nappropriate treatment is provided to children hospitalized under this chapter,\nincluding the establishment of:\n(a) Reasonable time periods in which an individualized written treatment plan\nshall be developed, reviewed, and revised in accordance with each child's\nneeds and progress; and\n(b) Procedures so that a hospitalized child, his parent or other person exercising\ncustodial control or supervision, including the state if applicable, can obtain\nan i ndependent medical review of the appropriateness of decisions made to\ncontinue hospitalization or to discharge a child.\n(4) The cabinet and the department shall not promulgate administrative regulations\nunder this chapter which conflict.","path":["KRS Chapter 645"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=20348","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T21:00:10Z","sha256":"d55a37adb22120d50412681500ae51497478a8ea069ce52092022ff629796a55","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-645.240","next":"us-ky/krs-645.260"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
