{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-65.301","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 65.301","heading":"Definitions for KRS 65.301 to 65.306.","body":"As used in KRS 65.301 to 65.306:\n(1) \"Board\" means the board of trustees of a district established under KRS 65.304;\n(2) \"District\" means a regional industrial taxing district established by an interlocal\nagreement as permitted under KRS 65.302;\n(3) \"Infrastructure development\" means the cons truction or improvement, within a\ndistrict, of roads and facilities necessary or desirable for improvements of the real\nestate, including:\n(a) Surveys;\n(b) Site tests and inspections;\n(c) Environmental remediation;\n(d) Subsurface site work;\n(e) Excavation;\n(f) Removal of structures, roadways, cemeteries, and other underground and\nsurface obstructions;\n(g) Filling, grading, and the provision of drainage, storm water retention, utility\ninstallation, including but not limited to water, sewer, sewage treatment, gas,\nelectricity, and communications; and\n(h) Utility extensions to the boundaries of a district;\n(4) \"Local government\" means a city, county, urban-county government, charter county\ngovernment, consolidated local government, or unified local government located\nwithin the Commonwealth;\n(5) \"Multicounty region\" means multiple counties, multiple cities not located in the\nsame county, or a combination of counties and cities with at least two (2) local\ngovernments from different counties; and\n(6) \"Trustee\" means an individual appointed to the board that collectively holds overall\nresponsibility for managing an d controlling the affairs of a district in accordance\nwith KRS Chapter 65A.","path":["KRS Chapter 65"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57921","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:21Z","sha256":"7ec67d434d49091f31d96351b5e3e9d0e52ca6cb688c49724e023f4f852c2dbf","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-65.300","next":"us-ky/krs-65.302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
