{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-65.323","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 65.323","heading":"Duties of council.","body":"(1) The Local Government Training Advisory Council shall:\n(a) Develop and update on a biennial basis a local government training plan that:\n1. Quantifies the training needs of local governments;\n2. Evaluates the abilities of existing training programs to meet the needs;\n3. Identifies areas of unmet need that jus tify expanding existing programs\nor the creation of new programs; and\n4. Formulates a strategy, giving consideration to the use of state -of-the-art\ncommunication techniques to enhance training efforts, that meets the\nneeds of local governments;\n(b) Submit a copy of the local government training plan to the Legislative\nResearch Commission by November 1 of odd-numbered years;\n(c) Ensure the proper coordination of training programs for city and county\ngovernments; and\n(d) Elect a chairperson annually from its membership.\n(2) The council shall adopt the plan provided for in subsection (1)(a) of this section by\nmajority vote, at which time it shall become the policy document used by the\nDepartment for Local Government to determine priorities for the expenditure o f\ntraining funds.","path":["KRS Chapter 65"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23389","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:21Z","sha256":"f61fe0adb2b75d6c8bb30de1466b8280190ef508564f77c919bcfd108a8061e5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-65.320","next":"us-ky/krs-65.327"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
