{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-65.510","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 65.510","heading":"Definitions for KRS 65.510 to 65.650.","body":"As used in KRS 65.510 to 65.650, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Riverport authority\" or \"authority\" means an authority established as provided in\nKRS 65.510 to 65.650;\n(2) \"Riverport facilities\" includes land, wharves, landings, buildings, equ ipment, and\nother improvements and appurtenances necessary or proper for the establishment,\nmaintenance, operation, and expansion of riverports;\n(3) \"Governmental unit\" means a city or a county;\n(4) \"Person\" means any individual, firm, partnership, corpora tion, company,\nassociation, joint stock association, or body politic, and includes any trustee,\nreceiver, assignee, or other similar representative thereof;\n(5) \"Industrial park\" includes land which is held, owned, or optioned for present or\nfuture industrial or commercial development; and\n(6) \"Economic environs\" means the political boundaries of the governmental units\nestablishing a riverport authority.","path":["KRS Chapter 65"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23423","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:21Z","sha256":"0a3fed8912d9624c087b53127b3c75d302a8044d9f9ef4f3924916cbbfb00634","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-65.506","next":"us-ky/krs-65.520"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
