{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-65.7041","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 65.7041","heading":"Findings of General Assembly relative to KRS 65.7041 to 65.7083.","body":"(1) The General Assembly finds and declares that the establishment of development\nareas, local development areas, and projects which result in increased property\nvalues, increased employment opportunities, and increased economic activity in\ncommunities within the Commonwealth serves a public purpose.\n(2) The General Assembly further finds and declares that the authority prescribed in\nKRS 65.7041 to 65.7083, and the purposes to be accomplished thereunder, are\nproper.\n(3) A city or county creating or expanding a development area or local development\narea, shall, to the greatest extent it determines to be reasonably feasible in carrying\nout the provisions of KRS 65.7041 to 65.7083, afford maximum opportunity for the\nrehabilitation, development, renovation, or impro vement of a development area or\nlocal development area by private enterprise.","path":["KRS Chapter 65"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23468","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:22Z","sha256":"653aa104c0e8d62107a471ba1298008d7589fcad3eb99d39270f1250e5bf7e2b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-65.703","next":"us-ky/krs-65.7043"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
