{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-65.7044","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 65.7044","heading":"Oversight and responsibility for Commonwealth's participation in tax","body":"increment financing.\n(1) Oversight and responsibility for the Commonwealth's participation in tax increment\nfinancing shall be transferred from the Tax Increment Financing Commission  to the\nKentucky Economic Development Finance Authority, established by KRS 154.20 -\n010, on July 15, 2008.\n(2) On and after July 15, 2008, the Tax Increment Financing Commission and the\nDivision of Tax Increment Financing within the Office of the Commission er in the\nDepartment of Revenue shall cease to exist.\n(3) All documentation and records relating to state participation in all tax increment\nfinancing programs and all agreements authorized by all prior and existing statutes\nshall be transferred by the Tax  Increment Financing Commission and the Division\nof Tax Increment Financing to the Kentucky Economic Development Finance\nAuthority.\n(4) The Division of Tax Increment Financing shall obtain authorization from all\naffected entities prior to the transfer of a ny confidential tax information to the\nKentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.\n(5) Members of the Tax Increment Financing Commission and staff of the Division of\nTax Increment Financing shall cooperate fully with the Kentucky Economic\nDevelopment Finance Authority in the transfer of all necessary records and\ninformation.\n(6) Tax increment financing projects established under prior tax increment financing\nlaws and agreements entered into under prior tax increment financing laws shall be\nadministered and interpreted in accordance with the law in effect at the time the\nproject was approved and the agreement entered into.","path":["KRS Chapter 65"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23470","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:22Z","sha256":"7dbab1a615f7abdf6dece3448a0a9bf792149d320954c8c1808dc104fa720092","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-65.7043","next":"us-ky/krs-65.7045"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
