{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-65.751","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 65.751","heading":"Legislative findings and declarations regarding 911 emergency services.","body":"The General Assembly hereby finds and declares that:\n(1) The general welfare and safety of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in\nemergency situations depend in large measure upon a fully functional 911\nemergency services system;\n(2) It is in the best interests of the Commonwealth to provide adequate resources to\nlocal governments for the effective delivery of life-saving 911 emergency services;\n(3) The authority granted and the purposes to be accomplished by KRS 65.750 to\n65.760 and 65.7621 to 65. 7643 are proper governmental and public purposes\nnecessary for the provision of 911 emergency services to the citizens of the\nCommonwealth; and\n(4) The CMRS service charges, as defined in KRS 65.7621(10), are vital to the\nprovision of 911 emergency service s to the citizens of the Commonwealth and are\nintended to apply to each CMRS connection regardless of whether that connection\nis prepaid, postpaid, or uses free minutes.","path":["KRS Chapter 65"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45282","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:22Z","sha256":"24eec89ff196ef08e9091488420ff9ad132d1af205551bca1948f54b18ff7d6b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-65.750","next":"us-ky/krs-65.752"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
