{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-65.752","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 65.752","heading":"Requirements for enhanced 911 emergency service -- Privacy of","body":"information.\n(1) Any DPTS located in an area that has adopted enhanced 911 emergency service\nshall within three (3) years of the date of its adoption, or if already adopted within\nthree (3) years after July 15, 1998, be able to:\n(a) Operate effectively within an enhanced 911 system;\n(b) Transmit a SIN for the station that directly dials the emergency number 911 to\nthe service supplier; and\n(c) Provide the service supplier with the following system information that shall\nbe updated within five (5) business days if changes occur within the system:\n1. Number of incoming trunk connections to the enhanced 911 system; and\n2. SIN, sublocation, such as floor or apartment number, if applicable, and\nstreet address of each station that may originate an emergency call.\n(2) In areas where fully enhanced 911 service has been implemented, the service\nsupplier shall, at a minimum, make the verified ANI and ALI provided by the DPTS\navailable to a PSAP for a fully enhanced 911 call.\n(3) In areas where fully enhanced 911 service has been im plemented, the service\nsupplier shall maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all information contained\nin the ALI/DBS, including any information that identifies telephone calls made\nfrom extensions on DPTS, except when the release of the information i s ordered by\na court of competent jurisdiction.\n(4) In areas where enhanced 911 service has been implemented, an employee of a\nPSAP shall not retrieve or disclose ALI information except in response to a 911 call\nor for the purpose of maintaining the ALI da tabase, unless ordered by a court of\ncompetent jurisdiction.","path":["KRS Chapter 65"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23496","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:22Z","sha256":"17c319457c78832250b7b7e22bd5ccb92673e04b679210456e097ac71414013a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-65.751","next":"us-ky/krs-65.754"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
