{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-65.7627","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 65.7627","heading":"Commercial mobile radio service emergency telecommunications fund.","body":"There is established the commercial mobile radio service emergency telecommunications\nfund, the \"CMRS fund,\" an insured, interest -bearing account to be administered and\nmaintained by the Kentucky 911 Services Board. The CMRS service charges levied under\nKRS 65.7629, 65.7634, and 65.7636 shall generate revenue equitably from prepaid and\npostpaid CMRS connections within the boundaries of the Commonwealth. No charges\nother than the CMRS service charges levied under KRS 65.7629, 65.7634, and 65.7636\nare authori zed to be levied by any person or entity for providing wireless service. All\nrevenues collected under KRS 65.7635 and KRS 65.7634, 65.7636, and 142.100 to\n142.135 shall be deposited directly into the fund, and the board shall direct disbursements\nfrom the fund according to the provisions of KRS 65.7631. Moneys in the CMRS fund\nshall not be the property of the Commonwealth and shall not be subject to appropriation\nby the General Assembly. Moneys deposited or to be deposited into the CMRS fund shall\nnot:\n(1) Be loaned to the Commonwealth or to any instrumentality or agency thereof;\n(2) Be subject to transfer to the Commonwealth or any agency or instrumentality\nthereof, except for purposes specifically authorized by KRS 65.7621 to 65.7643; or\n(3) Be expended fo r any purpose other than a purpose authorized by KRS 65.7621 to\n65.7643.","path":["KRS Chapter 65"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45288","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:22Z","sha256":"3ef3935fb5d835f053945bbf3d2b7f7e647c0431d767f99874fee4e6fa2ea144","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-65.7625","next":"us-ky/krs-65.7629"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
