When any county is in default on the principal or interest of any indebtedness,\nor gives evidence of becoming unable to meet principal or interest maturities on any\nfunded indebtedness within a reasonable time, or has an indebted ness which might, with\nadvantage to the county, be funded or refunded, the state local debt officer may\ninvestigate the debt situation and credit standing of the county and negotiate with officials\nand creditors of the county for the purpose of formulating  a plan for issuing or reissuing\nbonds.","path":["KRS Chapter 66"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23614","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:24Z","sha256":"7a5c6cb124d9f419c21481d0fd29438c4447729e855d5371040a0bc0e8dfafe9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-66.310","next":"us-ky/krs-66.330"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
