{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67.711","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67.711","heading":"Deputy county judge/executive and office personnel -- Appointment --","body":"Compensation -- Powers and duties.\n(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of KRS 67.710(7), the county judge/executive of\nany county may appoint a deputy county judge/executive, and a rea sonable number\nof other assistants, secretaries, and clerical workers within the office of the county\njudge/executive as determined by the fiscal court, who shall serve at his pleasure.\nThe fiscal court, pursuant to KRS 64.530(4), shall fix reasonable comp ensation for\nthe deputy county judge/executive and such other employees.\n(2) The deputy county judge/executive may exercise all administrative powers, duties,\nand responsibilities of that office, and may assume such other responsibilities as\nshall be presc ribed in the administrative code of the county, except that the deputy\ncounty judge/executive shall not act for the county judge/executive as a member or\npresiding officer of the fiscal court.","path":["KRS Chapter 67"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23771","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:26Z","sha256":"3010f4d97e622a19168fee90c7586fa565593cf677065ae2fc6320902928c07c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67.710","next":"us-ky/krs-67.712"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
