{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67.850","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67.850","heading":"Rights, powers, privileges, and immunities of charter county governments.","body":"(1) Charter county governments may exercise the constitutional and statutory rights,\npowers, privileges, immunities, and responsibilities of counties and cities of the\nhome rule class within the county:\n(a) In effect on the date the charter county government becomes effective;\n(b) That may subsequently be authorized for or imposed upon counties and cities\nof that class; and\n(c) That may be authorized for or imposed upon charter counties.\n(2) Rights, powers, privileges and immunities exercised by charter cou nty governments\npursuant to subsection (1)(a) and (b) of this section shall continue to be authorized\nfor charter county governments notwithstanding repeal or amendment of the statutes\nupon which they are based unless expressly repealed or amended for char ter county\ngovernments.","path":["KRS Chapter 67"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48678","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:26Z","sha256":"f4a005a411a4a80208b9c74b229092b51078292361b4b25da6ecf6c799ab79db","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67.845","next":"us-ky/krs-67.852"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
