{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67.906","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67.906","heading":"Unification review commission -- Membership -- Chairperson -- Filling","body":"vacancies.\n(1) The county judge/executive and the mayor of the participating city with the greatest\npopulation shall jointly determine the size of the unification review commission\nwhich shall be composed of not less than twenty (20) nor more than forty (40)\nmembers.\n(2) The membership of the unification review commission shall be divided equally\nbetween the county and the participating cities. The mayor of each participating city\nshall, with the approval of the city legislative body, make a number of appointments\nbased on the ratio that the percentage of the population residing in the mayor's city\nbears to the population of all participating cities. Each participating city shall have a\nminimum of one (1) representative on the unification review commission. The\ncounty judge/executive shall, with the approval of the fiscal court, appoint a number\nof members to the unification review commission equal to the number of city\nmembers.\n(3) The chairperson of the unification review commission shall be a citizen member\nelected by a majority vote of the membership of the unification review commission\nat its first meeting.\n(4) Any vacancy on the commission shall be filled in the same manner as orig inal\nappointments are made.","path":["KRS Chapter 67"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23818","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:27Z","sha256":"cfcba55936d6e42c4ea1f41be9e915768f62dc0a3dd2189bf12509d746d3fa66","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67.904","next":"us-ky/krs-67.908"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
