{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67.936","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67.936","heading":"Ordinances creating boards, commissions, authorities, and interlocal","body":"agreements deemed reenacted unless eliminated in plan -- Restructuring\npowers of council.\n(1) Unless eliminated under the unification plan, all ordinances of a county and\nparticipating city creating boards, commissions, and authorities and interlocal\nagreements shall survive and be deemed reenacted by the new legislative council.\nAll members of boards, commissions, and authorities may serve the balance of the\nterms to which they were a ppointed and until their successors are appointed and\nduly qualified according to law. The legislative council shall have the power, by\nordinance, to take such action as it deems necessary to abolish, restructure,\nconsolidate, or otherwise alter any board,  commission, or authority if the action is\nconsistent with the Kentucky Revised Statutes.\n(2) All planning commissions established pursuant to KRS Chapter 100 in existence\nwithin a county upon the adoption of a unified local government shall continue to\nexercise all of the powers and functions permitted by the Constitution of Kentucky\nand the Kentucky Revised Statutes until dissolved in the same manner prescribed by\nlaw.","path":["KRS Chapter 67"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23833","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:27Z","sha256":"715286b76a7b434bab082935b0e95421b96e1b6697d1e24faed48df326af9496","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67.934","next":"us-ky/krs-67.938"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
