{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67a.023","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67A.023","heading":"Redistricting of urban-county legislative districts.","body":"Notwithstanding any contrary provision of the comprehensive plan of an urban -county\ngovernment, the legislative body of an urban -county government may defer redistricting\nof the legislative districts of such body subsequent to each decennial census by the United\nStates Bureau of Census until after completion of the redistricting of General Assembly\nseats within the urban -county subsequent to such census. The redistricting of urban -\ncounty government legislative districts hereunder shall be effective for the first regular\nurban-county government primary election scheduled more than one hundred eighty (180)\ndays after completion of such redistricting; provided that in no event will the redistricting\nbecome effective later than two (2) years after release of the  census data upon which the\nredistricting is based.","path":["KRS Chapter 67A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23840","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:27Z","sha256":"5444c61f051040d4c86ebfd68ef0c0a3b7f124c5955885b6c02cd630ee9a0573","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67a.020","next":"us-ky/krs-67a.025"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
