{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67a.060","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67A.060","heading":"Exercise of constitutional and statutory powers of counties and cities of","body":"highest class within urban-county -- Withdrawal of power.\n(1) Urban-county governments may exercise the constitutional and statutory rights,\npowers, privileges, immunities and r esponsibilities of counties and cities of the\nhighest class within the county:\n(a) In effect on the date the urban-county government becomes effective;\n(b) Which may subsequently be authorized for or imposed upon counties and\ncities of that class; and\n(c) Which may be authorized for or imposed upon urban-counties.\n(2) Rights, powers, privileges and immunities exercised by urban -county governments\npursuant to subsection (1)(a) and (b) of this section shall continue to be authorized\nfor urban-county governments notwithstanding repeal or amendment of the statutes\nupon which they are based unless expressly repealed or amended for urban -county\ngovernments.","path":["KRS Chapter 67A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23846","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:27Z","sha256":"34c4b67c033f0fc6910a3c561f295021cce8ce9ddca83cb6d1a2843c8dd09fe4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67a.050","next":"us-ky/krs-67a.070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
