{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67a.6908","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67A.6908","heading":"Requirements for an agreement -- Enforcement in Circuit Court.","body":"(1) Any agreement reached by the negotiators shall be reduced to writing and shall be\nexecuted by both parties.\n(2) An agreement between the urban -county government and a labor organization shall\nbe valid and enforced under its terms when entered into in accor dance with the\nprovisions of this section and signed by the mayor of the urban -county government\nor his or her representative. No publication thereof shall be required to make it\neffective. The procedure for the making of an agreement between an urban -county\ngovernment and a labor organization provided by this section shall be the exclusive\nmethod of making a valid agreement for police officers, firefighter personnel,\nfirefighters, or corrections personnel represented by a labor organization.\n(3) Suits for violation of agreements between an urban -county government and a labor\norganization representing police officers, firefighter personnel, firefighters, or\ncorrections personnel may be brought by the parties to the agreement in the Circuit\nCourt of the urban-county government.","path":["KRS Chapter 67A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23918","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:28Z","sha256":"0ce081595a89ba59c66e965afe614148bfb958da0b80c0efc82304047ef46315","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67a.6907","next":"us-ky/krs-67a.6909"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
