{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67a.872","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67A.872","heading":"Authorization to construct and maintain wastewater collection projects.","body":"The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky finds and determines as a fact\nthat in urbanized areas of the Commonwealth, where industrialization and\ncommercialization have progressed at a high rate, attended by rapid residential\ndevelopment, there is a particular public need for acquisition of major wastewater\ncollection projects in the interests of the health, safety and welfare of the general public\nresiding in such areas and in order to enable metropolitan population centers to plan and\ndevelop major community-wide sewer facilities; that it is therefore essential that urban -\ncounty governments be vested with alternative authority for the construction and\ninstallation of facilities for the collection of flowable liquid wastes generated by\nresidential, commercial and industrial uses for ultimate disposition in a proper manner at\nthe cost of benefited properties; and that such urban -county governments be authorized\nand empowered to directly plan, develop, initiate, finance and carry out wastewater\ncollection projects.","path":["KRS Chapter 67A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23955","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:28Z","sha256":"73dc7eeb8335fdc2c5ab7bdb549ba7c5659b12636e9872eb3f4aa67c51e946a6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67a.871","next":"us-ky/krs-67a.873"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
