{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67a.916","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67A.916","heading":"Commissioners -- Term -- Bylaws.","body":"(1) Upon adoption of the resolution creating a parking authority as set out in KRS\n67A.914, the mayor shall within three (3) days appoint, with the approval of a\nmajority of the legislative body, five (5) residents of the urban -county area as\ncommissioners of the local parking authority.\n(2) Three (3) of the commissioners who are first appointed shall be designated to serve\nfor terms of one (1), two (2), and three (3) years, respectively, and the remaining\ntwo (2) of such commissioners shall be designated to s erve for four (4) years each,\nfrom the date of their appointment. A commissioner shall hold office until his\nsuccessor has been appointed and qualified. Thereafter all commissioners shall\nserve four (4) year terms.\n(3) The commissioners shall collectively  be known as the board of commissioners of\nthe local parking authority and shall constitute its governing body. The local\nparking authority shall elect a chairman and vice chairman from among the\nmembers of its board of commissioners. The term of office fo r each of those\nofficers, unless otherwise prescribed by the authority, shall be for the calendar year\nor that portion thereof remaining after each such officer is designated or elected.\n(4) The board of commissioners may adopt bylaws not inconsistent with this chapter, to\nimplement the powers and duties granted by KRS 67A.910 to 67A.928.","path":["KRS Chapter 67A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=23981","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:29Z","sha256":"33f5f90e626cfbc5dec83612354cabe37f5449a200eca5b6ab7dae4c6c1bf0a2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67a.914","next":"us-ky/krs-67a.918"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
