{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-67c.400","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 67C.400","heading":"Definitions for KRS  67C.400 to 67C.418.","body":"As used in KRS 67C.400 to 67C.418:\n(1) \"Cabinet\" means the Education and Labor Cabinet;\n(2) \"Labor organization\" means  any chartered labor organization of any kind in\nwhich police officers participate and which exists for the primary purpose of\ndealing with consolidated local governments concerning grievances, labor\ndisputes, wages,  rate of pay, hours of employment,  or conditions of\nemployment;\n(3) \"Exclusive representative\" means  the labor organization which has been\ndesignated by the cabinet as the representative of the majority of police officers\nin appropriate units or has been so recognized by the consolidated local\ngovernment;\n(4) \"Person\"  includes one  (1) or  more  individuals, labor organizations,\nassociations, corporations, legal representatives, trustees, trustees in\nbankruptcy, or receivers; and\n(5) \"Secretary\" means  the secretary of the Education and Labor Cabinet of the\nCommonwealth  of Kentucky.","path":["KRS Chapter 67C"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52334","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:29Z","sha256":"999d795880f8ad4bd4ff0b672122f580b13e44c972167f0bd7b8bbb0999ad4cb","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-67c.329","next":"us-ky/krs-67c.402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
