{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-68.199","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 68.199","heading":"County that attains population of 30,000 -- Credit against occupational","body":"license fee -- Voluntary credit -- New fee or increase in fee.\n(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of KRS 68.197(7), a county that enacts an\noccupational license fee under the autho rity of KRS 67.083 prior to attaining a\npopulation of thirty thousand (30,000) shall not be required to allow a credit against\nthe county occupational license fee for an occupational license fee paid to a city\nwithin the county when it is determined that t he population of the county exceeds\nthirty thousand (30,000).\n(2) If prior to July 15, 2002, a county voluntarily granted a credit against the county\noccupational license fee under the terms of an ordinance, interlocal agreement, or\nother agreement with a city, the county shall not eliminate the credit after it is\ndetermined that the population of the county exceeds thirty thousand (30,000).\n(3) After July 15, 2002, a county that enacts a new county occupational license fee or\nincreases a county occupationa l license fee, after it is determined that the county\npopulation exceeds thirty thousand (30,000), shall be required to allow the credit\nagainst the city fee required by KRS 68.197(7) to the extent of the increase or new\nfee.\n(4) For purposes of this secti on, the county population shall be determined based only\non the official decennial census by the United States Bureau of the Census.","path":["KRS Chapter 68"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24080","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:30Z","sha256":"907ce25810d62aacc035e8e0a31977a4ba7bc386be5416593a296eb154a4b8be","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-68.198","next":"us-ky/krs-68.200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
