{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-68.540","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 68.540","heading":"Approval by voters -- Levy.","body":"(1) If a majority of those voting on the question of any public service program approve\nsuch particular public service program, such particular public service program shall\nbe adopted. The county clerk shall cause the question to appear before the voters,\nand the election results shall be canvassed and certified by the county board of\nelection commissioners.\n(2) If any public service program is approved by the electorate as herein provided, the\nspecific tax so approved by the qualified voters in respect to such  specific public\nservice program shall be levied by the fiscal court in the manner provided by law,\nand such tax revenues shall be devoted solely to the public service program for\nwhich such specific taxes are levied.
