{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-7.1106","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 7.1106","heading":"Membership on boards, task forces, and commissions and participation in","body":"programs consistent with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act --\nDisability awareness program.\nTo ensure that Kentuckians with disabilities and their families enjoy full partnership in all\nprograms, services, and activities throughout the Commonwealth:\n(1) Consistent with this subsection, consideration shall be given to persons with one (1)\nor more disabilities for membership on any board, task force, or commission\nestablished by the Legislative Research Commission or the General Assembly.\nPersons with one (1) or more disabilities shall not be discriminated against and shall\nbe given an equal opportunity for membership on any board, task force, or\ncommission established by the  Legislative Research Commission or the General\nAssembly consistent with and to the extent required by the Federal Americans with\nDisabilities Act;\n(2) Individuals with disabilities shall be given an equal opportunity to participate in\nprograms, services, and activities established by the Legislative Research\nCommission consistent with and to the extent required by the Federal Americans\nwith Disabilities Act;\n(3) If not already a part of staff development training, a program shall be established\nwithin the Legislative Research Commission with a disability awareness\ncomponent; and\n(4) If program evaluation criteria are utilized by the Legislative Research Commission,\nthe criteria may include in the measures of performance, the number of individuals\nserved by the program, service, or activity.","path":["KRS Chapter 7"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=460","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:26Z","sha256":"ca6305e06a15d7ae77028f986a7e659227af10b41e785d557f4a59f508e327e1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-7.1105","next":"us-ky/krs-7.111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
