{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-7.120","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 7.120","heading":"Statute revision functions of Commission -- Records -- Confidentiality of","body":"drafts of legislative proposals.\n(1) The Legislative Research Commission shall formulate, supervise, and execute plans\nand methods for the future revision, clarification, classifi cation, codification, and\narrangement of the official version of the Kentucky Revised Statutes.\n(2) The Commission shall prepare and submit to the General Assembly such\nconsolidation, revision, and other matters relating to the statutes as can be\ncompleted from time to time.\n(3) The Commission shall keep in its office an accurate and complete record of all\nlegislation enacted by the General Assembly and shall study same for the purpose of\ndetermining the intention and the effect thereof. The Commission shal l advise and\nassist the members of the General Assembly in the preparation and revision of\nlegislation and matters connected therewith. When preparing and revising\nlegislation for members of the General Assembly, the Commission shall maintain\nthe confidentiality of each item of legislation which it is requested to prepare, and of\nthe fact that the request has been made, until the member or members of the General\nAssembly having made the request shall introduce the legislation at a regular or\nextraordinary s ession of the General Assembly or shall in writing authorize its\npublication by the Commission.
