{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-7.123","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 7.123","heading":"Effect of revisory act on other acts adopted at same session.","body":"If any act to revise and correct the Kentucky Revised Statutes adopted during a session of\nthe General Assembly:\n(1) Amends or repeals and reenacts a statute section also amended or repealed and\nreenacted by another act adopted at the same session, then ef fect shall be given to\nboth acts insofar as there is no conflict in substance. In the event of a conflict in\nsubstance between the acts, the nonrevisory act prevails to the extent of the conflict;\n(2) Repeals an act amended by another act adopted at the sa me session, then such\nrepeal has no effect;\n(3) Amends or repeals and reenacts a statute section repealed by another act adopted at\nthe same session, the repeal of the section by the nonrevisory act prevails.\n(4) Nothing in any act to revise and correct th e Kentucky Revised Statutes adopted by\nthe General Assembly shall be construed to effect any substantive change in the\nstatute law of Kentucky and if any substantive change appears to be effected it shall\nbe disregarded and the law as it existed prior to t he effective date of the revisory act\nshall be given full force and effect.","path":["KRS Chapter 7"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=468","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:26Z","sha256":"5227fbe6615659afa48aeb9e1ce0238a5b1118c477117642b2745c154dec9298","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-7.122","next":"us-ky/krs-7.125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
