{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-7.134","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 7.134","heading":"Contents of certified versions of KRS -- Format -- Requirements for","body":"certificate.\n(1) Certified versions of the Kentucky Revised Statutes shall contain:\n(a) The Constitution of the United States;\n(b) The Constitution of this Commonwealth;\n(c) The text of all laws contained in the official version of the Kentucky Revised\nStatutes;\n(d) A full and accurate index of the statute laws and Constitution of this\nCommonwealth;\n(e) The rules of the Supreme Court of Kentucky, the Kentucky Rules of Civil\nProcedure, the Kentucky Rules of Criminal Procedure, and any other judicial\nmaterials specified by the Commission; and\n(f) Any annotations, historical notes, and other information that the Commission\ndeems appropriate to include.\n(2) A certified version of the Kentucky  Revised Statutes may be in a printed or\nelectronic format and shall be updated in a manner and frequency acceptable to the\nCommission to provide prompt notice to its users of the texts of newly -created and\nnewly-amended statutes, the repeals of existing s tatutes, and any technical\ncorrections, renumberings, or notes issued by the Commission. If a publisher\nproduces more than one (1) version of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, a separate\ncertification may be required for each version.\n(3) Each new complete ce rtified version of the Kentucky Revised Statutes and each\nnew volume, unit, supplement, supplemental pocket part, or electronic release of a\ncertified version shall include a certificate issued by the director of the Legislative\nResearch Commission and att ested to by the reviser of statutes that the particular\nmaterial being certified has been prepared in a manner acceptable to the Legislative\nResearch Commission so as to ensure the identity of its text with the official version\nof the Kentucky Revised Statutes.","path":["KRS Chapter 7"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=473","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:26Z","sha256":"886a21dafc9f68eee85ffbea60633353acef9e8ae3d1ba946c7203e40618b94d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-7.132","next":"us-ky/krs-7.136"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
