{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-71.065","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 71.065","heading":"Appointment of jail personnel and transportation officers in county without","body":"jail.\n(1) If in any county there is no jail and the jailer does not serve as a transportation\nofficer under KRS 441.510, KRS 71.060 shall not be applicable and the jailer sha ll\nnot be entitled to nor shall he appoint any jail personnel.\n(2) If in any county there is no jail and the jailer serves as a transportation officer under\nKRS 441.510, the county judge/executive, with the approval of the fiscal court, may\nemploy one (1) or more persons to act as additional transportation officers to assist\nthe jailer in his or her duties. These additional transportation officers shall perform\ntheir duties under the supervision of the jailer, and the jailer shall be liable on his or\nher of ficial bond for the conduct of these officers.
