The commissioner of the Department of Kentucky State\nPolice, the commissioner of criminal justice training, the secretary of justice and pu blic\nsafety, and the secretary for health and family services shall be ex officio members of the\nadvisory commission. The secretary of justice and public safety shall appoint five (5)\nadditional members for terms of four (4) years each or until their successors are appointed\nand qualify.
