{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-73.130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 73.130","heading":"Recording of plats -- Requirements for survey.","body":"(1) In counties where there have been no record plat books kept by the county\nsurveyors, the fiscal court, by contract with the county surveyor, may order him to\nrecord by plat and explanatory notes all or any part of the surveys he has made and\npreserved whil e in office, and any other surveys made and certified to by his\npredecessors in office. Surveys made in the past by a person other than the county\nsurveyor shall not be platted in the record books except to explain some work done\non the ground by the county surveyor.\n(2) Anyone having a certified copy of a survey made by a county surveyor may have the\nsurvey platted and recorded at his expense in the county clerk's or surveyor's office.\nAny such survey filed with the county clerk shall meet the requirements  of KRS\n64.012.","path":["KRS Chapter 73"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24344","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:33Z","sha256":"2fd82f78717b9202807a7a23ad8e725fb6e05d9243156af8539b8098f698d3bb","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-73.120","next":"us-ky/krs-73.140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
