{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-75.060","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 75.060","heading":"Status and compensation of firefighters serving outside limits of district or","body":"municipality.\nAll municipal firefighters, fire protection district firefighters, and volunteer fire\ndepartment firemen, full -paid or volunteer, attending and serving at fires  or doing fire\nprevention work outside the corporate limits of a municipality, fire protection district, or\nvolunteer fire department district as provided in KRS 75.050, or area normally served by\na volunteer fire department, shall be considered as serving  in their regular line of duty as\nfully as if they were serving within the corporate limits of their own municipality, fire\nprotection district, or area normally served by a volunteer fire department, but full -paid\nfirefighters shall receive no additional compensation and volunteer firemen shall receive\nonly such compensation as may be provided for by ordinance or resolution in such cases,\nand all such full-paid firefighters and volunteer firemen shall be entitled to all benefits of\nany pension fund, in the  same manner as if the firefighting or fire prevention work had\nbeen within the corporate limits of the municipality, or area normally served by a\nvolunteer fire department.","path":["KRS Chapter 75"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24442","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:35Z","sha256":"014ed6ee43c25908db4dc416fa44d81f540747b326f73686f482205e4e274fff","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-75.050","next":"us-ky/krs-75.070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
