{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-75.150","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 75.150","heading":"Political activities of members.","body":"(1) No person shall be appointed a member of the fire department in fire protection\ndistricts on account of any political service, contribution, sentiment, or affiliation.\nNo member shall be dismissed, suspended, or reduced in grade or pay for any\npolitical opinion.\n(2) Members and employees of any fire protection district, while off duty and out of\nuniform, shall be entitled to:\n(a) Place political bumper stickers on their privately owned vehicles;\n(b) Wear political buttons;\n(c) Contribute money to political parties, political candidates and political groups\nof their choice;\n(d) Work at the polls on election days;\n(e) Aid in the registration or purgation of voters;\n(f) Become members of political groups; and\n(g) Hold office in political groups and carry out the mandates of that group.","path":["KRS Chapter 75"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24450","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:35Z","sha256":"d887715e6a85f8a8eb0ab6f05c8443c62b299ce09493415a15e99d88072fc33d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-75.140","next":"us-ky/krs-75.160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
