{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-75a.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 75A.110","heading":"Erection of fire hydrants.","body":"The trustees of the district wherein water pipes have been constructed and are maintained\nin the public ways thereof may by resolution duly adopted cause the erection of fire\nhydrants and attachments to the water pipes in the public ways, after the trustee s have\nmade a written contract for water to be furnished for use in the hydrants. The cost of the\nerection and attachments shall be apportioned by the trustees against the owners of the\nproperty fronting the public ways in which the fire hydrants are erect ed, by any equitable\nmode of apportionment which the board prescribes in the resolution ordering the erection\nof the fire hydrants and a lien shall exist against the property against which the\napportionment runs for the cost of the improvement in the amoun t of the apportionment\nand interest thereon at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum. The lien is enforceable by\nproceedings in court.
