{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-76.070","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 76.070","heading":"District to take over existing sewer facilities -- Duration of control and","body":"functions.\n(1) When the district created under KRS 76.010 to 76.210 has organized, thereupon and\nby virtue of KRS 76.010 to 76.210, the existing sewer and drainage system and\nfacilities of the city forming a district pursuant to KRS 76.010, together with all\ncontracts, books, maps, plans, papers and records, of whatever description\npertaining to or relating to the design, construction, maintenance, operation, and\naffairs of the existing sewer and drainage system, shall be assigned, transferred, and\ndedicated to the use of and be in possession, and under the jurisdiction, control, and\nsupervision, of the district under KRS 76.010 to 76.210 created, and the district is\nempowered to take possession thereof for its use and purposes. The district created\nunder KRS 76.010 to 76.210 shall thereafter have complete jurisdiction, control,\npossession, and supervision, of the existing sewer and drainage system, and of all of\nthe facilities o f the city for the disposal of sewage and storm water, and shall\ncontinue to exercise such power so long thereafter as any bonds or liabilities of the\ndistrict remain unpaid or have not been otherwise discharged. When all of the bonds\nissued by the distric t and all its obligations have been paid in full or have been\notherwise discharged, the district shall nevertheless continue to function as\ncontemplated by KRS 76.010 to 76.210 until dissolved and disposition of its\nproperty and assets provided for.\n(2) The rights and powers given in this section shall apply in the whole of the district\narea.\n(3) The board shall make and spread upon its records adequate descriptions, by map or\notherwise, of the district area.","path":["KRS Chapter 76"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43633","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:35Z","sha256":"b6941c23edbe548d109e2ef1153ff6068a9d94bb00ef7739925dcd012a3c9a3e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-76.060","next":"us-ky/krs-76.080"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
