{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-76.085","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 76.085","heading":"Privately constructed sewers to be approved -- Investigation, charges.","body":"(1) Any person or corporation, public or private, in the county in which such district is\nlocated submitting for approval plans and designs of sanitary sewers or storm water\ndrainage facilities, or both, to be constructed by such person or corporation, private\nor public, pursuant to KRS 76.080 shall file with the district a written application\nfor such approval or other action upon the plans and designs submitted by such\nperson or corporation.\n(2) When the district receives an application for approval of plans or designs of sanitary\nsewers and/or storm water drainage facilities to be constructed by some individual\nor corporation, the metropolitan sewer district is authorized and empowered to\nexamine, inspect and investigate, as seems to be advisable, the suffic iency of the\nfacilities which the application seeks to construct, to serve the purposes intended,\nand to establish and make reasonable charges for such services on the basis of a\nschedule adjusted according to the services required to make such investigati on or\non any other reasonable method.\n(3) When it appears to the district that the construction of any sanitary sewer and/or\nstorm water drainage facility being made by any other individual or corporation,\nrequires inspection and supervision in order to assure the protection of public health\nand the proper subsequent completion of such facility for the purposes intended, the\nmetropolitan sewer district shall include such finding in its order approving,\nmodifying or disapproving the particular plans and pro jects, and shall charge such\nperson or corporation for such inspection and supervision on the basis of the actual\ncost of inspection plus a reasonable additional cost of supervision.","path":["KRS Chapter 76"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=24481","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:49:35Z","sha256":"ca72b2657ac2316a1d4abfb9f4f4945717cde8daca12d53c8793a2e80f72531f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-76.080","next":"us-ky/krs-76.090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
